Hot mess→Less Hot Mess

Look… Life is always going to FEEL messy, because we have been sold a farce of perfection and see it reiterated throughout social media.

BUT… things can feel LESS MESSy.

𝗼ver the last 3 years, my days have gotten a bit easier…⁣

𝗔nd I don't think it is solely because my kids are getting older⁣

𝗶’𝗺 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀! ⁣

today, it’s easier to live with my thoughts, my body, and my confidence. 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.⁣

i used to struggle day-to-day a lot more than I do now and it was reflected in my behavior, choices, body, words, and thoughts. it put strains on my relationships, health, and career.⁣

𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁.⁣

𝘪 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 stress and reactivity, but it is no longer ever-present AND the moments (days) of 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘰.⁣

i contribute this to many factors including these:⁣
💫Boundaries: with my time and energy and with others⁣

💫Addressing and reframing fear narratives⁣

💫Routines: loose self-care that fill my cup and keep me from losing my shiz entirely⁣ 🤪

💫Consistency AKA sticking with things that I know I need even when I get sick of them⁣

💫Authenticity! This includes reminding myself that I don't need others to validate my thoughts and opinions for them to have value. I'm going out there and doing my own damn thing.⁣

💫𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗟𝗬, I realized the only person who had the answers to getting my shit together was me… and thankfully I have developed the knowledge, resources, and developed resiliency to do it.⁣

What held me back for so long? Mostly, I think I was not asking myself or being asked the right questions. So I learned to do that. I learned to question my intentions (in a positive way) to increase my openness to change and self-imposed boundaries. And with change came insight.⁣
