BYE-BYE FAD CARES.
i'm calling BS on the rise of the self-care culture. Yup... don't get it wrong though, i dream of a world where we don't need to justify the need for self-care. i work to bring forth a world where self-care is sustained/integrated. what i see today, offers bandaids and no true remedy. reminds me of fad diet culture. i'm ready to say goodbye to spending money on quick fixes that offer

there has been a lot of push in the self-care culture lately as a solution to stress. My hesitation is the recognition that self-cares that will allow us to show up day-in-day-out goes deeper than a bubble bath, that 2-hours alone (at target), sitting in your driveway scrolling on the phone, a meditation, a gym session.
